Day 3

So today was Day 3. A relaxing type day with no “set” plans. We got woken up bright and early by little B... Sleeping on the plane was a bad idea! He was up from 4:00am. We let him up at around 5:30am and he thundered around outside begging to go to Mickeys. This would continue all day long. As we had arrived late the night before and dropped straight to bed, we had no groceries. Food was definitely the first thing on our minds. I did some Googling and worked out the closest grocery store (Publix) was open from 7:00am. We set up the GPS and were there a little after 7:00am. It was only a few minutes’ drive from our home.

In our van

Well grocery shopping with 2 still jet lagged and hungry little beings is not the brightest idea in the world. In hindsight I should have had Steve drop me off and then take them to Maccas for food and a play. Anyhow we took them and I got most things I needed but not much in the way of meals. I managed to get breakfast stuff and 2 dinners, plus all cleaning/washing bath stuff.
We went home and unpacked then made ourselves some breakfast. Froot Loops for the kids, onion bagels with cream cheese plus fresh cut pineapple for me, left over pizza for Steve and Special K for mum. Then Peyton had toast but didn’t really eat it as the bread was too funky.

We all jumped into the van and headed to the Premium Outlets at Orlando. We hit a few shops and it was ok. Nothing absolutely spectacular though. We went to Nike, Ralph Lauren Kids, Carters, and Levi’s. Mum also went to Tommy Hilfiger. We got a few things but didn’t go overboard.

 Splash Pool!

By now it was after lunchtime so we headed back to Windsor Hills. We stopped at Chik fil-A for lunch and took it home to eat. It was ok, I did love the waffle fries! The kids didn’t eat. Brandon passed out on the lounge. Peyton and I had a swim in the splash pool. Mum hit the sack for a long nap! Once Brandon woke up Steve, the kids and I headed for Downtown Disney. We took World Drive and drove under the sign I had seen so many picture of and I swear I was giddy with excitement!!

The "Famous" Sign!

We arrived and got an awesome park out the front of World of Disney. A huge shop dedicated to Disney merchandise. The princess section was amazing!!

We wandered over to Goofy’s Candy Co. And Brandon designed his own treat, then watched the Cast Member make it for him. He got 3 Pretzel rods, one with M&Ms one with sprinkles and one with Oreo crumbs. They were really yummy!!

We walked past the Lego store and past the famous water beast creature. Then we arrive at our final destination for the day. Ridemakerz. A little (and big) boys heaven. It is where you make cars totally custom designed. You pick the body, chassis, tyres, rims, and a whole heap of custom accessories like lights, grills, exhausts, sirens, stickers.... The list goes on. Brandon made his second, a raised version of Lightning McQueen. It is pretty cool. The bad part is my camera battery died just after we started. We went home and went straight to bed ready for our big day at the Magic Kingdom.
