Public Service Announcement

I would like to make a public service announcement in relations to this blog. This blogs USA holiday broadcast will be suspended for at least two weeks while I am otherwise occupied with moving house.

Check back in a few weeks and I should be back to finish the trip. I may or may not periodically pop in and do a day or two or do some house updates but we shall see!

Day 16 - EPCOT

So today was our final day at EPCOT. We had one main mission. To do pick a pearl in Japan. I wanted to get one for Peyton and I. Mum wanted to get one for herself and Jodie. We let ourselves have a little sleep in as we were all really tired of my commando style touring. We got there and went straight to Soaring. We did the child swap as Peyton was too short. The standby line was 20 mins. Mum, Brandon and i did it first. Poor B was freaking the whole time in line, he is getting a serious complex about "scary" rides. I calmed him down and he ended up loving it. He loved soaring over Disneyland. We jumped off and found Steve and Peyton and mum waited while Brandon and I took Steve on. Steve thought it was a nice enough ride. After we finished I jumped on Living with the land. Brandon quite liked it.

We found mum and headed over to Test Track to get our fastpasses. While we were waiting for our time to come up Steve went and saw Captain EO while the the rest of us waited. The kids didn't mind. They got their favourite snack (popcorn) and played around the fountains. When Steve came out we all went on Journey to the Imagination. The kids really enjoyed it and I thought it was quite clever. Figment is very cute! It was time for Test Track. To be honest I was apprehensive. Where you enter the lines at the bottom the cars speeding past look like they are going very fast and they are also very loud. Lets just say I really enjoyed it. I think I have worked out I am ok on speed rides, it's just the drops on roller coasters that scare the bejesus out of me!

We headed over the the World showcase so we could get to Japan. We walked around it clockwise this time starting in Mexico. We stopped at Noway to ride Maelstrom. Brandon was cracking the shits the whole time in the line, carrying on how he didn't want to do it. The poor kid was just tired and getting hungry so he was having Brandon melt downs. We did the ride which was fine but we skipped the little show at the end. We did have some fun in the gift shop trying on viking hats and playing with the swords and shields.

Then it was food time. We had some egg rolls from a little cart that were pretty dry and bland. Then the kids had hot dogs and mum decided she needed a funnel cake. We all had some and she bestowed the remainder of it to Brandon cause we had arrived in Japan.

We took Peyton to pick a pearl and whilst waiting for our number we lost her. Mum was panicking a little but I knew she couldn't be far. I eventually found her outside the building looking at the little stream from the bridge. I could've throttled her! We did our pearl picking. Peyton and I got our pearls which I have ordered these charms LINK to put them in. Mum got twin pearls. Which is where there are two peals in the one oyster. It was one of those things bound to happen as mum is always coming across twins, being a twin herself! Anyway so she got them out into rings for her and Jodie. So they both have a pearl ring that came from the same oyster!

After that we had to wait for mums jewelery to be set so we wandered over to France ans I sniffed this place out for a late lunch.

By then mums rings had been set so we picked them up and headed for home. We took the boat across to Future World. I snapped a few pics.
