Day 2 - Flight #2

Today was another travel day. We got up early and went downstairs for the complimentary breakfast. It was good enough with many offerings such as toast, bagels, yoghurt, pancakes, bacon, eggs, fruit, cereal and juices. Oh yeah and funky biscuits and gravy...

After breakky we got our stuff together and headed to LAX via the free shuttle. Check in was a breeze. I have found having small children opens many doors/faster lines at airports! While we waited at the gate there was a wonderful announcement. Our flight was overbooked. They said if anyone wanted to take another flight via Georgia they would arrive only 2 hours later and would receive $400 Delta credit. Umm no thanks, we'll pass! The flight was so full there was next to no cabin baggage space and they got quite a few people to check their cabin baggage. It was a pretty uneventful 4+ hour flight. The only mistake we made was letting Brandon sleep almost 4 hours. *Doh!*

The desert. I know we flew over Texas

We picked up our lovely rental car (a nice blue Chrysler mini van) installed the car seats/GPS and loaded the bags and we were off. By now it was night and dark as we lost 3 hours crossing time zones but it didn't matter as we were buggered. We got to out place a Windsor Hills and ordered Dominoes for dinner. Once again we fell straight into bed.
