Day 11 - At Sea

Aladdin was on the previous night. I did see it but don't remember much. From memory it was a good production, just not great or memorable.

We got up and had breakfast at Cabanas again. The food was it's usual standard. We then went back to the room to work out the game plan for the day. We checked the navigators. There were a few things, some character meet and greets a family activity, soap car derby. We went and found character first then we trotted to the kids club.

The kids that wanted to participate were put into teams of about 5 or 6 kids then the were instructed how to carve and decorate the soap car. The kids all took turns. Then they picked a number:72  and a team name: Blue Thunder. They ran the races in heats, then a semi then a final. Peyton wasn't all that interested so she wandered around the club doing various activities.

The racing took a long time to get through so after it was finished we let the kids play for awhile then we headed upstairs for lunch. I got lunch at Fillmores and I think Steve got some pizza from Luigis.

Yummy chicken fingers and honey mustard sauce

After lunch we went back to get changed so we could swim. Our fish extender had more goodies waiting for us. We headed to the pool and I wore my swimmers but I took my kindle with me too. I found an empty deck chair and parked my butt and our stuff while the kids and Steve went straight in. I read for awhile before joining them. We also spent some time in the spa.

This was cool. A paintbrush repainted then stencilled and decorated Disney style with a carabiner to attach to your bag. It said it was for dusting sand off your feet at the beach.

Before long it was time to get out and get ready for dinner. Tonight we were dining in Enchanted Garden. We went back to the cabin and found more gifts. We then all had our showers and got ready for dinner. On the way we stopped for a meeting with Stitch. Dinner was pretty nice but Brandon was still on strike and made our server get him a hot dog again.

After dinner we went back to the room and chilled out before the show Wishes. The boys stayed there and Peyton and I decided it was a good time to go and get her hair braided. She loved having her hair braided with "beans" she kept them in her hair for a full two weeks, I let her go to daycare one day then they were out. She keeps asking if she can have beans again.

She amused herself by pulling silly faces, then making me take photos to show her

She picked her colours

We went back and got the boys. As usual there was no photography in the theatres so this part of my post is pretty boring. The kids liked it and so did us adults. Before the show we met and got photos with Woody and Jesse.

We came back to the room and found another towel creation. We voted it must be a dinosaur. Although I think giraffe was thrown around.

Day 10 - At Sea

Being a sea day and our first real break this whole trip, we decided to make this a very easy, relaxing, do nothing sort of day. We woke up at our leisure and went up to Cabanas for breakfast. Its so nice eating here with the view of the ocean. Not to mention the food is yummy too!

Breakfast

Too cool!

After breakfast the kids went to the club and we went back to the room. We lazed about reading and not much else. We got the kids for lunch which was Cabanas again. Then they had an appointment at the BBB. Brandon flat out refused to go. We tried talking him into it and telling him how he was going to be al handsome etc but he was no having a bar of it. So he went back to the club. Peyton chose to be Tiana and to have a big pink hairdo. She wasn't as into it as she had been at the Castle and I am rethinking it for our next trip but she swears she can't wait to go back. After the appointment was done it was time to go back to our rooms and get ready for dinner. Tonight we were dining in Animators Palate and it was also formal night.

I showered and got ready while Steve whizzed up and got Brandon. We got him ready and off we went. Dinner was nice although not my favourite. Brandon was feeling very tired and cranky and wouldn't eat much for dinner. This became a theme for the rest of the cruise... The Crush show was on in AP that night.

After dinner Steve took Brandon back to the club while I took Peyton for a Tiana meet and greet. Then we went for a little walk around the ship.

I'm fairly sure we called it a night quite early as we were all pretty much exhausted. We did get a lot of Fish Extender gifts and so many of them were home made and really fantastic. The effort some people put in was amazing.
