Day 12 - Universal Studios...for some

Today was our Universal Studios day. I on the other hand needed a day in bed to recover. I did get up in the morning to take the kids out for breakfast with Steve. We also stopped at Target for groceries. While we were there we picked up mums belated mothers day present. A Kindle. She loves it!

Anyway Brandon decided to stay at home with me. I sat up for the morning uploading photos and surfing the net, while Brandon watched the Curious George DVD's we got for him the other day. We had sandwiches on crusty French bread for lunch. Kraft peanut butter for B and Vegemite for me. We brought those from home. French bread is the closest thing to plain white bread from home. All other breads from the supermarket either taste funky, sweet or have a very strange texture.

After lunch Brandon had a quick dip in the splash pool while I read on my Kindle for awhile. He didn't last long swimming by himself so we both went upstairs for a nap. We closed the blinds and it was nice and dark and cool. I didn;t envy Steve, mum and Peyton in the parks today!

I woke up to Brandon announcing the others had made it back. I was given a quick go over of their day. Meeting characters, riding Jaws and riding some kids coaster for over an hour! Ask Peyton what happens on Jaws. She happily told her Fairy Godmother in Training the next day at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique..... The shark tried to eat us, so we killed him. With a gun. then he comes back. So we kill him again. With a gun. Awesome retelling by a three year old! Here are the pics they took that day

Once everyone got back we all got ready to go our for dinner. I was feeling much better after a day off so we headed back to Citywalk at Universal to try Bubba Gumps! We got there and it only took about 10mins for a table. I started with a Jenny's favourite to drink. Everyone else had Sprite. Then ordered the Onion Rings and 3/4lb of shrimp tossed in garlic for Steve and I to share. Then we ordered the Shrimpers Heaven. This included coconut shrimp, cold shrimp, tempura shrimp and crumbed shrimp. Mum had the Clam chowder (her new favourite) and the Dumb Luck Coconut Shrimp, she definitely liked this. Brandon got the chicken strips and Peyton got the fish'n'chips. These came in a cute cardboard cut out of the "Jenny" with a little blue jelly and a slice of orange.

Switch to the red sign which says Stop Forrest Stop to get the waiter/ess attention.

He's getting better at colouring in the lines!
