We left home nice and early for an early reservation at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. It was time for a princess makeover. On our way in we stopped and got some photopass photos, including one where the kids are holding Tink. We then made our way into the castle and checked in. Steve and Brandon wandered off to find something to eat in Main Street.

Peyton picked out Ariel for her makeover. She wanted to be Tiana but we already had this booked for a few days time on the Fantasy. The dress just fit but once she tried it on she refused to take it off and get a bigger size. In retrospect I'm glad it won't fit her for much longer as it is a bloody glitter shedder. It sprinkles copious amounts of glitter everywhere it goes. For now I have it put away in a plastic shopping bag. The make over was lovely. Peyton picked the princess hair do and picked out pink nail polish. She also picked her make-up. Once complete she got given a gift bag with a BBB pin and the make-up palette, comb and nail polishes to go. From memory it also had some stickers. We then went around to the shop and got her photos taken as part of the package we purchased. OMG she posed perfectly and I was in love, still am with the photos from that day.

While we waited for the boys to meet us we came across a character greeting with Lady Tremaine, Drizella and Anastasia. Well this meet was magical. They knelt down to Peytons level and spent ages talking to her. Asking where she was from and if she had any pets at home, asking about Austalian animals and her brother. I got some great photos and I loved the last one where they all pulled ugly faces. It was a truly priceless Disney moment.
We then met up with the boys and and raced to find the Merida meet and greet. It was where the Rapunzel one had been the year previous but with hardly any wait time as it wasn't really being advertised and was more of a soft opening as it wasn't officially starting until the following weekend. The kids didn't really know what to expect as the movie hadn't even been released. They cut the line off at a certain number of people and then let them all into the area. Everyone lined up to meet Merida and the wee bears (her triplet brothers) kept popping up from behind her. It was very cute. Once you finished meeting her you got to try your hand at archery. This was fun and even Steve gave it a go. We then got to colour in pictures of Merida's horse Angus. Brandon did a fab job doing an extremely colourful version which caught the eye of the CM helping. She got Meridas attention and Brandon got to show his picture to her even though we'd already had our time. I loved their "Scottish" accents.

We then split up to do different things. Peyton had to meet Tiana and Ariel and Brandon had to ride Tomorrowland Speedway, Peter Pan and the Railroad among other things. The wait for Tiana was ages as she had gone on a break but we got some funnel cake and slushie and waited. It was worth waiting and being first in line because Tiana was the favourite princess at the time so she was really rapt. Steve and Brandon came and met us when we were in the line for Ariel. They headed to ride Pirates of the Caribbean. The line for Ariel was long to but we endured it and got to meet Ariel and Prince Eric. The boys came back after riding Aladdin's Magic Carpets as POTC was having technical issues. They made in time for Brandon to meet Ariel and Eric with Peyton.

We went to see if POTC was back up, but on the way we were distracted by the Swiss Family Tree House, so of course the kids made me climb all the way up and back down with them. We went and rode POTC as a family. It had rained while we were on the ride so we waited in the gift shop for it to ease up then headed out of the parks. Our next stop was Fort Wilderness for the Hoop Dee Doo Revue!

We walked out of the Magic Kingdom for the last time :-( and hopped on a boat to Fort Wilderness. It was a nice ride across the lagoon. We were early so we went to the Trading Post which is a gift shop and store and got a drink and I got a plate, the perfect thing to get signed on the cruise. We then checked in for the show and picked up our tickets.
We then walked around the place and ended up at Tri Circle D Ranch where the kids insisted on pony rides. It wasn't too expensive so we let them. Us parents had to lead them around a track marked out and it lasted 5 minutes or so. I must say the horses and ponies there are kept in fantastic condition. I was really impressed. (I have spent my fair share of time around school horses)

I must say you feel a world away from Disney at Fort Wilderness, but the perfectness of the grounds and surrounds give it away. It was so nice and quiet and peaceful and felt miles away from the hustle of the parks just a stones throw away.

We then headed over to line up for the show. First they took a group photo then you were led to your table. Well the show was fabulous. The reviews are all right, it is fun and loud, the songs are catchy and even the little ones find it funny. Even though a lot of the jokes are beyond their comprehension it is still all around family fun. Oh and the food is delicious!!

After the show we headed down to wait for the boat when the heavens opened up on us and we got drenched. The boat pulled in and it was a very wet ride over in a very open air boat. We got off at the Comtemporary Resort and ran all the way inside. At the entrance they had mounds of fresh towels rolled up so we could dry off. We tossed them in the laundry baskets and caught the lift up to the monorail station. We went to the car and sadly said goodbye to WDW once more.
Sangria in a jam jar!!!!! I gotta get me some of that! Love it. Love reading your adventures knowing that will be us in just over a year's time. Thanks for sharing.
